David Adedeji Adeleke, known globally as Davido, is one of Africa’s most celebrated musical icons—a singer, songwriter, producer, and cultural figure whose energy, charisma, and hit-making ability have propelled Afrobeats onto the global stage. Known for his bold voice, chart-topping anthems, and lavish stage presence, Davido has carved an unstoppable legacy in modern African music.

Born in Atlanta, USA, and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Davido began his musical journey while studying business administration. His breakout came in 2011 with the smash single Dami Duro, which immediately made him a household name in Nigeria. That same year, he released his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo, featuring hits like Ekuro and All of You, establishing his sound: upbeat, melodic, and lyrically rooted in success and celebration.

A key player in the early wave of Afrobeats’ mainstream growth, Davido has consistently delivered global hits like If, Fall, FIA, Assurance, and Blow My Mind featuring Chris Brown.
